Study Abroad and Internships in London (LAC)
The Learning Abroad Center’s program in London is located in the heart of the city. The Study & Internships in London program offers courses in a wide variety of topics, complemented by internships in a number of fields. Classes are taught by British faculty. Students are housed in apartments in Kensington.

University Study in London
Visit a few universities in and near London. Understand how students take regular classes with British students at some of England’s best universities.

University of East Anglia, Norwich (LAC)
The University of East Anglia is a prestigious, personal university with a reputation for being particularly welcoming to study abroad students. The university is near Norwich, a medieval town located near the East coast, and is approximately one and a half hours from London. Strong areas of academic specialty at UEA include:

American studies
Art history
Biological sciences
Community studies
Drama
English
Environmental studies
Mathematics
Philosophy
Social Work

Site visit to Merida, Venezuela
February, 2003*

Language and Culture in Venezuela (LAC)
Students begin their Spanish language studies, or increase their skills, on this program offered in collaboration with the UMTC Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Students have plenty of opportunities to improve language proficiency through homestays and by interacting with Venezuelan students. Students study at the VENUSA College of International Studies and Modern Languages (VENUSA) in central Merida. Instructors are professional academics. Courses such as Tropical Ecology, Field Botany in the Andes, and International Business complement the Spanish language, literature, and Venezuelan culture classes.

Site visit applicants should have a basic understanding of Spanish.
