Re-Entry Checklist for Parents
Home > Parents > Steps

Step 1

The student must verify that his/her transcript has been received by the Learning Abroad Center. Then he/she must follow up with his/her advisers to apply study abroad coursework to degree requirements.

Step 2 (Optional)
Students can attend a Returned Student Workshop. This workshop helps define his/her experience abroad for employers in order to identify and articulate new skills. Call 612.625.9370 for more information.

Step 3 (Optional)
Students may attend the Minnesota Re-Entry Conference on Saturday, September 22nd at the University of St. Thomas. Students from many institutions will meet, share stories, and expand their understanding of their experiences.

Step 4 (Optional)
Students can share photos and stories with the Learning Abroad Center. We are specifically looking for photos of students in their study abroad or internship site, pictures with host families, and scenic shots! In addition to photos, quotations from interviews are also used in our brochures, informational materials, and our website. If your student is interested in sharing his/her experiences in an interview or with images, please email Brian Liesinger.
