Application Checklist

Follow this checklist to apply for the program.

Research Scholarship Possibilities
Submit your complete program application to the University of Minnesota-Morris Center for International Programs.

Print and submit the following pieces to the Learning Abroad Center (map):

Program Name: Use program name on the Learning Abroad Center web page
Sponsor: Morris
Program Track/Host Institution: Leave blank

  • Study Abroad Registration Form
    You will receive this form directly from Morris after they have notified you of your acceptance into their program. This form must be completed and signed by a Learning Abroad Center study abroad adviser and returned to the Center for International Programs at Morris.
 
  • Copy of Acceptance Letter/Email from Morris
    Drop it off in 230 Heller Hall or send by email, mail, or fax. If you received budget information or a cost estimate for your program, please provide us with a copy of those costs as well.

Other Information
Once you notify the Learning Abroad Center of your participation, expect an email from us with information about the following:

  • Academic Planning form pdf
  • Financial aid adjustments to reflect the cost of your study abroad program
  • Registration to maintain your University of Minnesota student status while abroad
  • Student account and ebill/epay web links
  • Twin Cities campus orientation (health and safety, registration, academic planning, and financial aid)
  • Travel services and products

In addition we recommend you ask for information from the sponsoring campus about:

  • Billing and payments
  • Cancellation and refund policy
  • International health insurance
  • Program orientation specific to your study abroad program (held on host campus)

Next Steps

Approval of your application is based on a review of all application materials. The University of Minnesota–Morris reviews your application and notifies you of your acceptance to the program. For next steps after acceptance, review the Accepted Students page for your program.
