Description
Live and study in the largest Spanish-speaking country in South
America. Argentina is a trendsetter in contemporary South American
politics, an impressive cultural center, and home to subtropical,
alpine, and glaciated biospheres.
Curriculum
Combine intensive language and culture courses, university courses,
and specially designed program courses. Summer program available.
Instruction in Spanish by Argentine faculty. Typical credits: 30
for academic or calendar year, 15 to 16 for fall or spring semester, 6
to 9 for summer session. See below for more information.
Eligibility & Application Open to juniors and seniors with 3.0 GPA
and 2 years college-level Spanish. Each university has specific
eligibility requirements. Applications reviewed until individual
program deadlines; academic year fall semester, and summer session
deadlines range from mid-March to early April; early October for
calendar year and spring semester.

Estimated Cost Students from the University of Minnesota participating
on this program are charged a program fee that is inclusive of the cosponsored
program's fee and a University of Minnesota fee to cover the cost of application
processing, advising services, orientation, course registration, grade transfer
and posting for resident credit, assistance with financial aid, and international
health insurance. This administrative fee ranges from $500 to $1,500 and varies
by program. The cosponsored program's portion of the program fee can be used to
assist in estimating cost and is available at the program site linked below. In
most cases, airfare, field trips, meals, and personal expenses are additional.
