Note: If you plan to use financial aid (loans, grants, scholarships)
to cover costs for your study abroad experience, you are encouraged to schedule
a financial aid preview meeting
prior to submitting your confirmation deposit.

deposit is billed to your U of M student finance account)

of Attorney paperwork (optional but strongly recommended)
Passport & Visa: All students must have a valid passport to take part in this program
If you already have a passport, make sure that it is valid for the duration
of the program, as well as up to six months after your return
If you do not have a passport, apply for one as soon as
possible; go to Travel Documents for more information
You will receive more detailed visa information later in the process
Deposit and Program Fees Students on this program will need to pay a confirmation deposit to the Learning Abroad Center. Do not send a deposit directly to your cosponsored program provider or host university. If you decide to cancel after you pay the non-refundable Learning Abroad Center deposit, you are additionally responsible for paying your cosponsor’s deposit. Consult the Learning Abroad Center’s Cancellation Policy for more details on your financial obligations.
