About the Program Sponsor: School for Field Studies
The School for Field Studies is committed to providing high-quality, academically-sound and experientially–rich study abroad programs and support services to a wide range of students and institutions.

Promoted Programs
The University of Minnesota promotes the School for Field Studies programs to:

If the program you are looking for is not listed on the Learning Abroad Center's web site, you may still apply for it here.

Comparing Programs
Some of our cosponsors offer programs in the same locations. The Learning Abroad Center cosponsors multiple options in order to provide a broader selection of program options to students. Students should read the Program Selection Considerations for a review on program models and variations to consider.

For sites that overlap across multiple co-sponsors and appear to be similar (such as Arcadia and Butler in England, CIEE and IES in Argentina), the differences may lie in things such as the on-site orientations and excursions. You are advised to thoroughly review the program materials and contact program staff from both organizations to discuss those areas.

Compare options and reflect on your priorities. Many students come to find that they simply feel more comfortable working with one program coordinator over the other.

Access Abroad

Persons with disabilities or special needs are encouraged to explore opportunities abroad. The Learning Abroad Center and Disability Services are collaborating to enhance access to study abroad for students with disabilities. Go to the Access Abroad web page for more information.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
