Description
Study analytical and architectural and urban design in Barcelona, Lisbon, and Venice. Four weeks of predeparture study at the University of Minnesota are followed by eleven instructional weeks and one week of spring break in Europe. The program dates are January 20 - May 11, 2009. This program is sponsored by the College of Design.

Curriculum
Enroll in classes including Architectural Studio, Structures, Topics in History, Landscape Architecture Urban Options Studio, and Directed Study in Landscape Architecture. Check with CDes for exact course listings. All courses offered at graduate level. Instruction in English by University of Minnesota faculty, resident faculty and local practitioners.

Typical credits: 12–15 for spring semester.

Eligibility & Application
Open to University of Minnesota College of Design graduate students. Applications reviewed until mid-October deadline.

Estimated Cost
The Spring 2009 program fee is $13,400 and includes tuition and registration fees, orientation, housing, some excursions, and international health insurance. It does not include airfare and most meals. While in Venice, students live in apartments with kitchens so that meal expenses can be minimized. Financial Aid & Scholarships
