Academics: Integrated Courses

The following outlines the most popular fields at the university. If a course has been taken in the past, the title will appear under the field heading. There is no guarantee that any particular course will be offered in a given semester or year, and exact courses are not known in advance. If a field is not listed but is of interest, please contact the Learning Abroad Center, and staff will inquire about its availability.

Since Paul Valéry University does not publish course catalogs in advance, individual course descriptions are not available. However, on-site program staff compiles its own “class bulletin” at the beginning of the term, as information from academic departments become available.

Keep in mind that Paul Valéry University is a humanities university.  Courses outside the humanities are more selective.  Students outside the humanities should not plan to take all their courses in their field and will need to supplement with French history, language, literature, and civilization courses.

Courses in the sciences are generally lecture and do not contain a lab component.

Students must test sufficiently strong in their language ability upon arrival to enroll in these advanced courses.
