Description
Study French language and culture in Paris, taking classes at the Sorbonne. Program includes excursions to cultural sites in and around Paris, as well as a two-day trip to St. Malo, a walled Medieval city on the coast of Brittany.

Curriculum
All aspects of the French culture will be covered, including art, architecture, painting, music, and history. The professor accompanies students on all cultural visits. Students with one year of French can enroll in the Cours de civilisation francaise and obtain the Certificat de langue francaise. Students with no previous background in French can take an elementary French course at the Sorbonne.

Typical credits: 4 for summer session.

Open to University of Minnesota freshmen and above.

Applications are reviewed until a mid-December deadline.

Students from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities participating on University of Minnesota-Morris programs are charged a program fee. The fee for this program can be used to assist in estimating cost and is available by contacting the University of Minnesota-Morris Center for International Programs.
