Description
Complete student teaching requirements at sites around the world on the Global Student Teaching Program (GST). Placements are for a minimum of ten weeks. Admission is based on completion of pre-student teaching requirements and recommendation by the college through which teacher education coursework is being completed.
Curriculum
All courses demonstrate application of approaches to teaching and learning in the elementary, middle, or secondary grades under the guidance of a cooperating teacher and University supervisor. Typical credits: 10 per ten-week period.
Estimated Cost
Students from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities participating on University
of Minnesota-Morris programs will be charged a program fee. The fee for this
program can be used to assist in estimating cost and is available by contacting
the University of Minnesota-Morris Center
for International Programs. In most cases, airfare, field trips, meals,

Eligibility & Application
Open to seniors and graduate students with 2.5 GPA. Application deadline is four months prior to departure.
With good academic planning this program can fit well into the degree plans for many majors. Search for courses that fulfill Liberal Education Requirements or submit a course you want to take for review. Study Abroad in Your Major advising sheets explain why study abroad is important for a major, indicate what the department wants students to consider when selecting a program, and provide academic planning hints. This program may appear as a special recommendation on an advising sheet. If your major is not listed, talk to an adviser—this program may still fit your academic, career, and professional goals.
