Description
Language studies are based in Berlin and Potsdam, Germany. Berlin, Germany's capital, is bustling with activity and culture. Potsdam is the site where the Allies determined the future of post-war Germany in the Treaty of Potsdam. It is the cradle of German film and hosts the College of Film and Television as well several other colleges and universities.

Curriculum
This is a three-week intensive study abroad program in Berlin and Potsdam, Germany. Students primarily study German history, culture, literature, and politics. Course emphasis is on language use and first-hand experience of culture and history.

Typical credits: 4–6 for May session.

Eligibility & Application


Open to University of Minnesota freshmen and above with two years of college-level German.

Applications are reviewed until an early March deadline.

Academic Fit with a University of Minnesota Degree Plan

Estimated Cost
Students from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities participating on University of Minnesota Duluth programs are charged a program fee. The fee for this program can be used to assist in estimating cost and is available by contacting the University of Minnesota, Duluth International Education.
