- Second Program Choice: Under Program Name, list a second Global Seminar that you would like to be considered for, should your first choice fill. Please clearly indicate your choices by numbering your first and second choice. A second choice is not mandatory.

In approximately 250 words, describe why you selected this program and how it suits your academic and personal goals.
Include dates and information on any previous experiences living, traveling, or studying abroad.
- College Transcript
Submit an official or unofficial copy of your college transcript from each institution you have attended or are currently
attending.

- Low GPA Essay
In approximately 250 words, describe your academic strengths and any extenuating academic or personal circumstances that have contributed to your GPA being lower than what is required for this program.
- Special Circumstances Recommendation

A recommendation should come from a professor, advisor, or TA who can speak to your academic strengths and recommend you for participation although your GPA is lower than what is required for this program. This recommendation is in addition to any other recommendations required by the program.

of Minnesota status. Students meeting the criteria below are qualified to apply

Deadlines
Submit complete applications to the Learning Abroad Center according to the appropriate deadline:

*If the deadline falls on a weekend, submit your materials on the following business day.
**Applications from graduate students will be considered after the priority deadline.
Application Approval Process
Here's what to expect after submitting your application to the Learning Abroad Center:
- The Learning Abroad Center sends an email notification to confirm that your application has been received.
- The Learning Abroad Center emails you to request missing items if your application is incomplete.
- Your completed application is reviewed.
- The Learning Abroad Center emails you within 3–4 weeks with a decision regarding your acceptance into the program.
- If accepted, follow the instructions outlined in the acceptance email. You need to pay a program deposit to the Learning Abroad Center.
- If you choose not to complete the application process, email the program contact.
