Description

Global Citizens Network is a non-profit organization that sends short-term teams of volunteers to communities in other cultures where participants immerse themselves in the culture and daily life of the community. Each volunteer team is partnered with a local grassroots organization active in meeting local needs.

Volunteer Placements

Placements are with community organizations. Examples of projects include:

• Setting up a library
• Teaching business skills
• Building a health clinic
• Planting trees to reforest a village

Global Citizens Network Volunteer Fellowship: University of Minnesota students are eligible to receive $400 off any international trip or $200 off any domestic trip with proof of student status on a first come, first serve basis as funds allow.
